Abstract (EN)
Studying the single-party period of Turkey particularly on its agricultural aspect which has already been studied many times on the economical and political aspects, will uncover new findings. Since the Treaty of Lausanne a new policy with the aim of agricultural development was prepared regarding the experiences of the former and the new state. The new nation, then mostly an agricultural one composed of farmers, with its all members who had lost their houses and fields, were to struggle against all odds. Agriculture, farmers and countrymen were supported with the technology, transportation, education and loans. Governments of the single-party period, Ataturk and Ismet Inonu, were to prove themselves to be successful despite their ups and downs in the agriculture data charts.
