Abstract (EN)
Valve mechanisms used in internal combustion engines directly affect many parameters such as engine performance, fuel consumption and exhaust emission values. Today, many studies are carried out on valve systems for improvement purposes in internal combustion engines. The valves can operate independently of and dependent on the camshaft. Camshaft dependent valve systems cannot operate completely flexibly due to camshaft constraints. In this thesis, the design and simulation of the electromechanically controlled valve mechanism has been made with reference to the KAMA KG 390 engine in order to provide more flexible operation of the system without the cam system in the commonly used camshaft dependent valve mechanisms. The mathematical model created for the system to open and close the valves approximately 5.5-6 mm, by performing the simulation in the MATLAB/Simulink program; Parameters such as voltage, current, valve position, magnetic force and pressure force in the cylinder have been investigated.
