An Example Of Âyans İn Teke Sanjak: İdriszadeler

During the 18-19th centuries when the ayans were on the rise, many regions of the Ottoman State had increased their dominance, and many of the dynasties took on their dignity. Sanjak of Teke was also one of the regions where notables were active as a region where the state authority was ineffective at the time. The Idriszade family appeared in the Elmalı crash of Teke Sanjak and managed to rise among other ayan families, and maintained this status after the Tanzimat. İdriszade İsmail Agha became the most powerful person in Antalya with his participation in the state during the Tekelioğlu İbrahim Bey rebellion and the removal of the rule of the Tekelioglu family from the The Teke Sanjak after this rebillion. After the death of Idriszade Ismail Agha, the Idriszade family maintained its dynastic position not only in Elmalı but also in Antalya for many years. İn this study espicially the İdriszade family; the notables in the Teke Sanjak in the 18-19 th centuries the ayans of the notables, the power struggles between the ayans, their relations with the state officials, it is believed that it will give some clarity to issues such as alliances of the ayans, power struggles between the ayans, relations with state officials; military and administrative responsibility of the provincial ayan, as well as allow the Idriszadeh family to be compared with other ayan families.
