Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to diagnose and evaluate the disease in 1-30 days old calves with the complaint of diarrhea in Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Animal Hospital, using the Bionote Bovid-5 AG Calf Diarrhea Test Kit, and to compare the blood parameters according to whether the disease is single or musky. Factors such as Rotavirus, Corona virus, E. Coli, Giardia and Crypto were diagnosed with the Bionote Bovid-5 AG Calf Diarrhea Test Kit. Two different groups were formed depending on whether the factor was single or mixed. Hematological, biochemical and blood gas levels were evaluated by clinical scoring for each calf. While clinical scoring was performed, parameters such as calf's behavior, ear condition, mobility, sucking reflex, enophthalmos, body temperature and dehydration were evaluated. It was determined that whether the factor is single or mixed is not important in terms of clinical scoring (P>0.05). WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT, MCV, MCH and PLT concentrations were evaluated in the hematological examination. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was determined that there was no difference in hematological terms whether the agent was single or mixed (p>0.05). As biochemical analysis, Urea, Creatinine, Glucose and GGT concentrations were checked. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was no difference in biochemical terms whether the agent was single or mixed (p>0.05). In the evaluation of Blood Gas, parameters such as pH, pCO2, pO2, cK+, cNa, cCl, cLac, Base Excess and Anion Gap were checked. However, there was no statistically significant difference between the blood gas values of the calves with single or mixed infections (P>0.05). In conclusion; No difference was found between clinical scoring, hematological, biochemical and blood gas parameters of calves with diarrhea with single and mixed infections. We think that future studies can be scientifically beneficial by using more data.
