Measuring user admissions in the framework of technology acceptance model 3: Evaluation of electronic document management systems in foundation universities

Nowadays, optimizing processes in parallel with technological developments has become an inevitable situation for businesses. In this context, the need to transfer traditionally produced documents to electronic environment and manage them within a system has required. With the development of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and the start of this system being used in businesses, it has become compulsory for users to adapt to these systems. For this reason, it is great importance to measure the acceptance and usage status of EDMS users and to reveal the factors affecting their usage attitudes. Within the scope of the study, EDMS acceptance and usage status of employees of 3 foundation universities were measured with Technology Acceptance Model (TAM3-TKM3). The study population is all academic and administrative staff of 3 foundation universities. The survey was conducted online with a total of 712 people. 118 questionnare that were found to have been answered carelessly and indiscriminately were excluded from the study and evaluations were made on 594 people. The data obtained was analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 24 and IBM SPSS Amos 22. In the research, analysis was made using descriptive statistics method, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structual Equal Model (SEM). In addition, the significance check of the difference between the two means (t-test) and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) tests were performed. In the research, 12 hypotheses were created and these hypotheses were tested with the structural equation model. According to the test results, 2 hypotheses were not supported and 10 hypotheses were supported. The results obtained are supported by the literature.
