The effect of technology on sports (samples of individual and team sports)

Purpose: This research aims to determine the areas of technology used in sports activities. For this general purpose, possible answers to the following questions were sought; 1. What are the technologies used in sports products? 2. What are the technologies used in sports services? 3. What are the technologies used in sports organizations? Method: This research aims to determine the use of technology in sports. For this purpose, the qualitative research method was used. In qualitative research, various methods are used according to the structure of the research, its subject, and the desired result. In qualitative research, mostly observation, interview and document analysis methods are preferred. Since previous studies will be examined within the framework of our subject throughout the research, the document review method has been used in our study. Document analysis includes analyzing written materials containing information about the case or cases that are aimed to be investigated. Findings: As a result of the examination of all the books, theses, articles, practices and tests within the scope of the research, the themes and sub-themes related to the effect of technology use on sports products, sports services, and sports organizations were obtained. Result: First, technological clothing, the use of nanomaterials, GPS systems and injury prevention safety systems have emerged as important factors in the use of technology in sports products. The second result obtained as a result of this research is the use of technology in sports services. The interest in mass media and sports has increased with the use of technology in the service industry. The third result obtained as a result of this research is the use of technology in organizations. Accordingly, the hawkeye system, camera player tracking system and camera-based card biometric systems are used in sports organizations. Keywords: Technology, Sports, Globalization.
