Attitudes of university professors toward distance education technologies in the contect of diffusion of tecnolocal

Distance education technologies have a long history. The transition to distance education in education-teaching activities was realized due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this pandemic, many countries such as Turkey had to take a break from face-to-face education. In the Covid-19 process, the use of distance education technologies was deemed more appropriate in terms of health and the continuity of education-teaching practices was ensured in this way. This process has been evaluated as a new situation for the learner and the teacher. The subject of the research is to explain the attitudes of the instructors to the distance education technologies used in the Covid-19 process within the framework of "Rogers' model of diffusion of innovations". In the research, in the innovation features of the instructors in the model for distance education technologies; "relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, observability" and innovation levels; Factors such as "innovative, early adopters, early majority, late majority, laggards" were examined. The results of the study, in terms of innovation, instructors use distance education technologies; While they found it compatible, testable and understandable, they showed a moderate level of agreement on relative advantage and observability. In the innovation levels, it was found that "early adopters, early majority, innovative, late majority, laggard" respectively. It is anticipated that the research will contribute to the diffusion of innovations.
