Investigation of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D and 8- hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine levels in recurrent pregnancy loss patients

Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine effects of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and 8- hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine in the serum of recurrent pregnancy loss for early diagnosis. Material and Methods: In this study, the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and 8- hydroxy-2- deoxyguanosine are compaired in patients with recurrent pregnancy loss and healthy women. In this study, 30 TGKs who administered to Gaziantep University Medical Faculty Şahinbey Training and Research Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic between the dates of December 2018 and May 2019 and 30 healthy women without any medical problems and any pregnancy loss were observed. Statistical analyzes were performed by using Mann Whitney- U test, Shaphiro Wilk test and Kikare test. P value <0.05 was considered significant. Findings: The levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine in serum from patients with recurrent pregnancy loss were not significant when compared with the control group. Conclusion: 25-hydroxy vitamin D and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine levels in serum are predictive of recurrent pregnancy loss and are not suitable for early diagnosis. Vitamins D deficiency and inadequacy are common in patient and there was no significant result .
