Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the treatment of wastewater originating from the textile industry by photocatalytic and photomembrane methods was investigated. It has been prepared synthetically under laboratory conditions of azo dyestuffs, which are widely and widely used in the textile industry. pH, amount and concentration optimizations were made to the prepared RR180 and Safranin aqueous dye solutions and their removal efficiency was investigated under the best conditions. UVA light was used in the photocatalytic oxidation process system. The duration of the experiment was kept as 2 hours and the measurement was made by taking the time dependent sample. For RR180 and Safranin aqueous solutions, 100% removal efficiency was obtained after 2 hours under optimum conditions. The treatment of wastewater with high dye concentration coming from the textile factory was subjected to photocatalytic and photomembrane systems separately. Wastewater with an original pH of 10.45 and a Pt/Co value of 1000 ppm was studied in the photomembrane system with a ZnO amount of 0.75 g/L and an experimental period of 2 hours. 100% removal efficiency was achieved in dye removal and 48% removal efficiency in COD removal. In the photocatalytic system, 86% dye removal and 20% COD removal efficiency were achieved after 4 hours in the wastewater under the same conditions.
