Abstract (EN)
Currently, rapid population growth and changing environmental conditions cause enhancement of requirements of consumers. Thus, industrial wastewater generation increasing day by day. Textile industry is considered one of the important wastewater source in the world. In this study; the textile industry wastewater samples taken from two different facilities and treatability studies were conducted. Treatability studies were conducted using different coagulants to investigate the treatment efficiencies for real textile industry wastewater and textile-weighted organized industrial zone wastewater by physicochemical methods. The effectiveness of the coagulants were specified according to color and COD removal. By using magnesium chloride coagulant, 92% color removal, 97% COD removal was achieved in textile-weighted organized industrial zone wastewater, 97% color removal and 83% COD removal were achieved in real textile industry wastewater. Finally, the best color and COD removal efficiency was obtained by using magnesium chloride (〖MgCl〗_2) for both industries. In addition, 85% color removal efficiency and 69% COD removal efficiency were obtained when resin regeneration wastewater formed in the same industry was used as coagulant for real textile industry wastewater. In terms of cost and applicability, it is seen that regeneration wastewater is preferable to as a coagulant. As a result of experimental studies, the effectiveness of coagulants were discussed for both industrial wastewater samples. Consequently, coagulants type and concentrations depends on wastewater characteristics.
