The field of textile and ready-made clothing, the problems related to the application of pattern and its designs programme and solution suggestions for them

ABSTRACT Pattern means'a sample of something in respect to shope. It can also be used in different fields as being used in clothing (BAYRAKTAR, 1995:78). In ready-made clothing sector, pattern and its Desingns course the importance of which increases day by day in sectoral base needs to have the gualifications that could meet the needs of sector so that it could reach the expected Standard. Depending on this, it is targeted to come up with solution suggestions to the difficulties enceuntered in studying Mould and Desing Course, which is the basis of Textile field, prooerly and to get knowledge about these difficulties and the things that should be conducted while the Mould and its designs course is studied. The aim, importance, scope and limitations, of the research, the terms and abbre viotions used have been explained. The literatura related to research questions has been reviewed, the research problem has been pointed and presented in as a report. The model of research, its extent and sampling, data collection and data analysis methods have been exploined. 17 Trade Girls high schools and Anatolion tradel high schools in the cental discrict of Ankara dependent on National Education Ministry; teachers who teach workshop and trade courses in the field of textile and students selected in textile deparmant form the extent of the research. The research, has been summarized and the results goined via the findings have been explained. In addition to this, vorious suggestions have been put forword in order to stop the problems encountered in pattern Designs course, the field of Textile. According to research results, in the field of textile it was observed that, the most crucial difficulties encountered while teaching Mould and its Designs are that the which is time not scheduled according to course subjects, the lack of basic knowledge increasing the course success, students indifference and lock of ability, lack of physical conditions; and that the most important problem was that tables and chairs were not suitable for student level in respect to physical characteristics.
