Access agreements in telecommunications sector

Access agreements are crucial in order to create a competitive telecommunications market. The aim of this thesis is to consider the legal characteristics of access agreements.In this thesis, firstly unique properties, history and development of the telecommunications sector are explained and then description and scope of access are evaluated and determined. Legal properties of access agreements and the scope of the intervention of national regulatory authorities? to access agreements are generally explicated. Notion of ?mandatory elements? and state of this notion are inspected in the light of freedom of agreement. Afterwards, place and importance of access agreements in our legal system, purposes, elementes, parties, procedure, varieties, clauses and effects of mentioned agreements are introduced in perspective of different approaches found in comperative law, doctrine and jurisdications. Legal properties of access issue which is specific to telecommunications law, as a special kind of access, interconnection and roaming agreements are tried to determined in terms of contract law.
