Abstract (EN)
The relationship of the media with the dominant ideology has been debated from the moment that the mass media first appeared. The political, economic and social developments of the countries have caused the media contents to change in a similar way and the media to become a tool of the dominant ideology. Especially in the last two years due to the political developments taking place in Turkey, it is observed that an increase in nationalist content in television broadcast narratives. In this thesis study, it is aimed to show how nationalist rhetoric in television series, starting in the same period in different television channels in Turkey, including nationalism and anti-terrorism issues, and in accordance with this objective three TV series İsimsizler, Söz and Savaşçı which are broadcasting in different channels were examined. As a result of the study, it has been determined that there are discourses of nationalism and dominant ideology in the selected samples, and that there are similarities between the events in the series and current political events.
