The evaluation of the TV film serial "Time Passes Quickly (Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki)" as an example of the gender representation in TV serials

The aim of this study is to reveal how the roles assigned to men and women are represented by the characters in Turkish TV serial that is broadcast during the most watched hours, how gender roles are reproduced in this way and how the characteristics of patriarchal social structure are presented in the story and characters of the serial. The 'Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki' serial, which was shown on Channel D between 2010 and 2013, which enables the reproduction of gender stereotypes through the characters and its story, was selected as the sample. This serial has been examined with the qualitative analysis method, and it includes how the faale and mala representations are presented in the serial and how this representation problem in the serial is revealed through the characters and the story.
