Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of basic athletics studies on physical self-perceptions of 12-14 year old elementary school students. The population of the study is 12-14 age group primary school students and the sample is composed of 12-14 age group primary school students in Fikret Ünlü Boarding Regional Middle School in Ermenek district of Karaman. The experimental group of the study consisted of 30 female and 15 male students. The control group of the study was; 15 female and 15 male students are composed of 30 students. In this study, physical self-perception inventory was used. Multivariate ANOVA (MANOVA) was used to analyze the data. According to the results of the study, no significant difference was found between pre and post tests of sports ability. A significant difference was found between the other parameters (physical fitness, body attractiveness, strength, general physical competence, general competence, physical self-perception pre- and post-test results). In our study, a significant difference was found between the physical condition and body attractiveness of the female students participating in the basic athletic movements, the sports ability, physical fitness, body attractiveness, strength, general competence, physical self-perception pre- and post-test results. It is revealed that there is a consistent and interrelated relationship between physical self-perception of primary school students engaged in physical activity.
