Abstract (EN)
In this project the basic algorithms that are used in most of the image processing have been implemented on FPGA. These algorithms include RGB to grayscale transformation, sobel and prewitt operators and Gaussian filter, LoG transformation and Canny edge detection algorithm. The important point is that these algorithms form the base of other image processing algorithms. While more advanced algorithms are running, these algorithms are applied in the initial phase. This case is one of the reasons that these algorithms are taken as the subject of the project. At the end of this project it is seen that these basic algorithms can run on FPGA thus showing that it is possible to run this kind of algorithms in an alternative work environment other than a computer.
