Abstract (EN)

This research aimed to investigate the interplay among forgiveness, emotion regulation difficulties, and psychological vulnerability in the context of meeting basic psychological needs and psychological well-being. The study involved 400 high school students, comprising 219 males and 181 females. Data collection instruments included the Emotion Dysregulation Scale Short Form, Heartland Forgiveness Scale, Satisfaction and Inhibition of Basic Psychological Needs Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale, Psychological Vulnerability Scale, and Personal Information Form. Utilizing a relational model, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis was employed to examine the associations between the variables. The relationships among satisfaction of basic psychological needs, forgiveness, emotion regulation difficulties, psychological vulnerability, and psychological well-being were further explored through Structural Equation Modeling. The findings revealed that the stisfaction of basic psychological needs directly impacts well-being, while the frustration of these needs influences psychological well-being through forgiveness, emotion dysregulation, and psychological vulnerability. The study suggests that interventions targeting adolescents and their families, incorporating strategies to address psychological needs and foster forgiveness skills, may enhance the well-being of adolescents.
