Özet (EN)
Increasing awareness of basic life support (BLS) and improving emergency response processes are important goals that directly affect individuals' survival rates. In emergencies, individuals who can apply BLS until healthcare teams arrive increase their survival rates. With the application developed within the scope of this thesis, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), artificial respiration and other BLS techniques are taught using three-dimensional (3D) models and written-visual instructions; a module is also provided where users can test their theoretical knowledge. With the rapid development of technology, education methods have shifted towards digital platforms and mobile applications have gained an important place in this field. Mobile education applications make education processes more effective and accessible with flexible access, interactive learning and the ability to reach a wide audience. Providing BLS application training on mobile devices will contribute to the dissemination of this training and to the users' acquisition of life-saving knowledge and skills. According to the results of the Basic Life Support Mobile Training Application (TYDMEU) evaluation survey conducted with both healthcare personnel and users without health knowledge in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed application; it was observed that it was effective in providing BLS skills and increasing the current knowledge levels. It was also determined that the application allowed for faster and more conscious interventions in emergency situations. The purpose of the developed mobile training application is to facilitate education and intervention processes through mobile technologies, to increase social awareness, to contribute to the increase of first aid skills and to guide future studies in this field.
