Abstract (EN)
Muslim and non-Muslim inhabitants' social, economical and governmental structures are exhibited in this thesis statement via temettüat books (statistical information about the social and economical data of the countryside of the Ottoman State) which belong to Karakaş, Cami-i Kebir, Yapraklı, Hatice Hatun ve Ermeni Districts within Kırkkilise District in Edirne Province's Vize Sanjak, in H.1260 (M.1844). The Public who lived in these districts and villages have generally lived on by tinnership in Bayraklı District, agriculture and animal husbandry in Armanian District; artisanship, agriculture and sheep animal husbandry fort he Karakaş, Hatice Hatun and Cami-i Kebir Districts. They were breeding crow, ox, sheep, goat, horse, garron, etc. as cattles and sheep and pack animals, and also active in beekeeping in a small portion. There are numerous different occupational groups as well. Shepherding, tinnership, cookery, tailoring, aba making, hairdressing, grocery etc. were also professions carried out. Finally all householder's agriculture, animal husbandry and profession income is calculated and their taxes like mahsusa tax, aşar (tithe) etc. are denoted with tables and graphics in our study
