Abstract (EN)

The subject of the study is a group of East Greek pottery which was obtained from the excavations and test trenches carried out by Professor Prof. Dr. Baki ÖĞÜN and Prof.Dr.Yusuf BOYSAL in Teos between 1962 and 1965. It is known from the tags of the findings that 53 pieces which were the subjects of the study were obtained from the Trench ?E? excavated during the excavations carried out in the south of Teos ancient theatre. Although the excavators who carried out the excavations mentioned about the findings obtained from the Trench ?E? as East Greek vases of Rhodian origin, the available pieces were studied elaborately for the first time with this study. The East Greek production of kotyle and skyphoi obtained from the excavations in Trench ?E? usually indicate a time line extending from the end of the 8th Century B.C. to the end of the 6th Century BC. The study does not introduce an innovation to the repertoire of East Greek Pottery, however; the study will make a contribution to the study carried out in this field in the region of Ionia by bringing into open a group of pottery which has been forgotten in the storeroom of the museum for a long time and introduction of a group of material belonging to Teos ancient city.Key Words: Teos, 8th and 6th Century B.C., East Greek Pottery, kotyle, bird bowl, rosette bowl, meander bowl, banded bowl, lotus bowl.
