Abstract (EN)
This study is based on other researches regarding the benefits of nature and natural elements in providing advantages to human psychology. The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of terrarium planting activities —a way of bringing nature into interiors— on human psychology. The psychological states of the subjects who participated in terrarium planting activities, organized by a floriculture company, were measured by means of the Positive and Negative Affect Scale before and after the activity. It was found that the positive affect of the subjects increased while their negative affects decreased after the activity. The findings reveal that a participation at a terrarium planting activity would provide human-plant interaction, which in turn, would have a positive effect on the psychology of human beings.
