Tercüman-ı Hakikat newspapers in 1914, according to the Balkans

Our object of study is the Balkans in 1914 according to the ?Tercüman- ı Hakikat? newspaper, which is known as the semi-official press organ of the Ittihadists (Unionists).Balkan geography, having a passage between the two former lands of civilasation -Asia and Europe, had been the scene of the various storms according to the requirements of the ages and nearly become a boiling cauldron in the human history with the alliance of many historians. It still continues to maintain this position. The reason of this result in 1914 -the falling into confusion of the Balkanians with the idea of having the Balkans because of nationalism and its geopolitic importance; and the major states? overt political maneuvers and detection on the Balkans and Balkanians with the idea of getting their deserved share from the Balkan pie as a result of the colonialism concept has been tried to be explained by examining the mentioned newspaper documents.Keywords1.
