Tercüme-i Nuzhat al-Qulûb (vr. 188a-308b) introduction-grammar analysis-text-index

Nuzhat al-Qulûb is a study which was translated for Abdal Khan the governor of Bitlis before 1650 It is an important work that contains considerable details (latitude and longitude of the settlements, plants and fruits grown, climatic conditions, physical and psychological structures of the people, income sources etc.) due to the fact that it is the section with the highest number of leaf and the information it gives about the different geographies of that period. The subject of our study is the study of the geography section of the Translation of the Nuzhat al-Qulûb, which was translated from Persian into Turkish in the 17th century.. It is an important work in terms of being a work that can contribute to 17th century Turkish in terms of the language material it hosts. It is clear that the course followed by the Turkish language can only be possible with detailed determination of the phonetic and morphological structures of the works of this period. In this respect, we believe that this work will contribute to the language development of this century. The work consists of introduction, analysis, text and index. In the introductory section, the informaion about the original source and author of the work, the translator's translation and the date of writing is given. In addition to the academic studies on the thesis, the scope of the thesis and how it has been prepared are emphasized. In the analysis section, the language analysis of the work that constitutes the essence of our work is included. The language features of the text were formed from the spelling, phonetic and morphology sections and it was tried to contribute to this field with examples that reflect the language characteristics of the period. In the text section, a copy of the Ottoman Turkish translation was obtained. In the process of transferring, for the faint, unreadable, incorrectly mobilized or misspelled words, the correction was made by comparing the work with the Persian original and this was stated in the footnote.. There are more than a hundred place names in our text.There are different types of spelling of the same specific name. In order to determine the correct spelling, all the special names in the text have been compared with their Persian origins. The index section was given with its index. Words in the work were classified under two titles as general names and special names section. Separate subtitles were opened under the main names of special names for person, place and work (book) names. In the conclusion part of the study, the determinations related to grammar are included.The references section was created in alphabetical order.The study was concluded with the same edition of the existing copy of the work.
