Abstract (EN)

TRANSFORMATION INTO ABANDONED INDUSTRIAL AREAS Industrial heritage structures have been lost and idle because they have not been able to meet the needs of the modern age through the development of living global change and technology. Industrial structures are reintroduced to the public intentionally and economically by being reused by the concept of transformation. Protecting the history of constructions through reworking and transferring them to future generations. Historic industrial structures, was built in headquarters centers or coastal areas. In Turkey, 256 industrial structures were constructed and only 43 of them were left in the day. Most of them, was built in İstanbul Province. Within the scope of the thesis, the aim of the re-training of industrial structures is to transform the concepts of protection and constructions and to collect them. Information has been given about organizations established in the world. Local and international examples have been examined. From local examples; Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi, Cultural Center and Energy Museum, Cibali Smoking and Tobacco Factory, Kadir Has University, Hasköy Shipyard and Lenger Structures' - Rahmi Koç Museum, International examples; Vienna Gazometer - Residential, Office, Workplace, AVM (Mixed Use) ', Eskin Warehouse in Rotermann - Workplace, New York Railway Viaduct - High Hat Park and Leopolde Train Station - Exhibition Center, the analysis of the data obtained, and the representation of the principles on which the derivative examples are followed.
