Abstract (EN)
Energy is the most important need used in every sector. To meet increasing energy needs, countries use different production techniques to the fullest extent possible. Nearly 90% of the world's energy needs are met by fossil fuel sources. As human beings began to use fossil energy resources, negative impacts on the environment began to emerge. In this process, the use of technology in the wrong place, environmental management, and the use of technology that do not take into account the environmental impacts have gradually increased these problems. In order to meet the increasing energy demand in Turkey in the 1970s it has been the year of orientation to the thermal power plants. In those years will reveal the thermal power plants in the world in environmental issues and rapid thermal power plants in Turkey, yet without taking into account possible environmental problems due to the lack of sufficient knowledge slitting began to build. Therefore, thermal power plants which are based on high fossil fuel usage and environmental problems that pose a great risk to the environment and living things have entered the agenda of our country. However, Turkey sun, wind, hydrides, geothermal and so on. Despite being a country rich in renewable energy sources, these resources cannot be adequately evaluated. In this context, in this study, the environmental effects of thermal power plants and alternative energy sources are investigated.
