Abstract (EN)
Thermoplastic materials are generally ductile and more durable than thermoset materials and are used for a wide variety of non-structural applications without fillers or reinforcements. The thermoplastics can be melted by heating and have the ability to reshape and reshape by solidifying by re-cooling. In various applications, thermoplastic materials are reinforced with glass fiber reinforcement and are widely used in areas requiring high mechanical strength. In this context, in this study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of deficiencies that may occur during thermoplastic production which affects the low velocity impact behavior of the material. Specimens of the same thickness (3 mm) were produced without delamination and using different delamination materials. In the production of composite, long glass fiber reinforced homopolypropylene composite granules and thermoplastic prepreg laminates were used. Artificial delaminations was placed between thermoplastic prepreg laminates. Release film, vacuum bag and infusion mesh extrude were used as delamination material. Two different delamination diameters (13 and 26 mm) were used. All specimens were subjected to low velocity impact tests and the graphs generated with the obtained data were evaluated.
