Tevfik Akdag life, art and works

Tevfik Fikret Akdağ (1932–1993) is a poet who lived in the same period with the İkinci Yeni poets and benefited from the expression possibilities of the İkinci Yeni. In addition to his poems that he handled with this understanding, he also wrote poems with a socialist understanding. In this respect, Tevfik Akdağ is like a bridge between the İkinci Yeni poetry and socialist poetry. In this study, an examination was made on the life, art and works of Tevfik Akdağ. The study consists of two parts. The first part is "Tevfik Akdağ's Life", the second part is "Tevfik Akdağ's Art and Works". In the first part, Tevfik Akdağ's biography is given. In the second part, Akdag's understanding of poetry, his tendency to poetry, and the phases of his poetry are examined and his poetry; its content and structure, language and style, vocabulary, sentences, used rhetoric and elements of spoken language are discussed. In addition, Akdağ's works other than poetry were also examined. In the conclusion part, the general evaluation of the study was made. The sources used in the study are given in the Bibliography section. Akdag's unpublished poems are given in Appendix 1- Documents, and in Appendix 2- Photos section, personal photographs taken from Tevfik Akdag's family are included.
