Abstract (EN)
Judaism and Islam are two religions have an ancient tradition. Judaism has a long history. That's why it has a common past with İslam. Islam considers Judaism as a divine religion but admits that its boks are degenerated. Both the Quran and the Old Testament have many common messages because they come from the same source. Deceit and lie are the behaviours that all beliefs reject. Both the Ouran the Old Testament reject deceit and lie. Howewer there are some expressions about this in both sources. The exceptions if these behaviors that are generally prohibited are attributed to different crieria. The Old Testament has evalvated deceit and lie according to their results. That is whether it is good or bad dealt wüth Jewish and Judaism. On the other hand. Quran has a point of view prioritizing the purpose by saying that deeds are according to intentions. There fore deceits and lies will be evalvated as good or bad according to their purposes.
