Abstract (EN)
This study is, thermodynamic analysis was made and evaluated by using real data of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality's Oğuzeli Central Biogas Power Plant, which uses animal waste. In addition, the current situation and potentials of biomass-based power plants in Turkey were examined. At the facility, 150 tons of animal waste is disposed of daily and 14400 m³/day of biogas is produced. With the cogeneration system, 7200 MWh of electricity is produced annually. The total exergy efficiency of the cogeneration system was determined as 22.52%. In the anaerobic digester system, the exergy value of the raw material increases chemically. For this reason, it was not meaningful to calculate the exergy efficiency in the anaerobic digester system for this reason, it did not make sense to calculate the exergy efficiency in the anaerobic digester system. The economic analyzes of the facility were made and the return on investment cost was calculated as 3.7 years.
