Yöneticilerin (Okul müdürlerinin) gösterdikleri liderlik özellikleri

Leader is a person who enables group members to start an activity by giving his/her energy, sometimes gives liberty, motivates group and feels pleasure by doing these. Leader is one of the most important elements for every organization, and one of them is school. School is the formal unit of education. Managers in schools bring school employees together under school roof, share their powers and give a sense of confidence to the group members. They build education conditions on solid scientific basis, places teachers and other workers who are the indispensable parts of education to the necessary points. Leadership properties of the school managers are among the most effective factors on the motivation of the teachers and other employee. Thanks to positive leadership properties as well as an increment at the motivation of the teachers also the academic success of the students will also increase. In this study the status of the leadership properties of the administrators (school managers) in terms of various variables were analyzed. Questionnaire method was used as data collection tool in this study. Within the scope of the study a total of 300 teachers working in primary and secondary schools in Ağrı province were interviewed. Data obtained from the study was analyzed with SPSS 16.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) package program. As a result of analyzes made; it was seen that the teachers included in the study thought that the ability of the directors in the schools they were working with was very high. As a result of the study, it was also found that the male teachers were more likely to be exemplary in the principals of the schools they were working with compared to female teachers. As a result of the study, it was seen that the number of teachers in the institution affected the perceptions of teachers' leadership qualities. As a result, it can be said that the teachers who are included in the study have a good perception of the leadership qualities of the managers. Key Words: School, Manager, Leader, Ağrı
