Özet (EN)
Titanium alloys such as Ti6Al4V are metallic materials commonly used for medical implants in orthopedic and dental applications. However, there have been reports of inflammatory reactions around these implants as a result of the formation of avascular fibrous tissue encapsulating the implants. Thus, it is recommended to coat a hydroxyapatite layer on the metal alloy to aid the osseointegration of these implants with surrounding tissues. Hydroxyapatite (HA) is a pure calcium phosphate phase and is a preferred biomaterial in both dental and orthopedic fields due to its positive osteoconductive and bioactive properties. In addition, zinc and boron elements are elements with proven antibacterial properties. In this study, various processes such as sanding, grinding, acid aging and soaking in an ultrasonic bath were applied to clean the plate surfaces before coating. The surface-cleaned samples were made ready for coating by the electrophoretic deposition method. In this method, hydroxyapatite, boron and zinc powders were added to ethanol in different proportions. DMF, SLES and glycerin have also been added to ethanol. Coating was made on Ti6Al4V sheets by adding hydroxyapatite, zinc and boron powders in different proportions using the electrophoretic deposition method. It was aimed to increase the antibacterial and bioactivity activities of the Ti6Al4V plate used as an implant with the coating process, and the effects of the coating process on osseointegration were investigated by performing bioactivity, antibacterial activity, surface roughness, scratch and corrosion tests as well as SEM-EDX analyzes on the coated samples.
