Abstract (EN)
In this study TiO2 /Ag:ZnO nanocomposite materials were obtained and photocatalytic avtivitiy of this enginnering material was investigated by using Rhodamine B dye. Firstly, nanotubes on titanium was formed by anodic oxidation method which is one of the electrochemical methods and TiO2 was obtained. Images were examined in SEM and nanotubes were observed. Then hexaydrate solution was prepared and Silver (Ag) was dopped to this solution %1, %3, %5 and %7. After that, hexamethylenetetramine C6H12N4 solution was prepared and this solution was mixed with silver dopped hexahydrate solution and then was obtained the actual solution required fort he experiment The Prepared TiO2 materials were coated with %1, %3, %5, and %7 added solutions respectively and TiO2/Ag:ZnO enginnering material was obtained. SEM and XRD examinations,which are thin film analysis methods,were performed and the amount of silver added was examined by EDAX anlysis and the doping accuracy was confirmed. The obtained TiO2/Ag:ZnO materials were put into Rhodamine B dye which is an industrial dye prepared and exposed to UV light.Then,measurements were taken with an UV spectrometer and it was observed that a TiO2/Ag:ZnO material was experimentally decomposing the Rhodamine B dye which is an industrial dye.
