Tip 2 Diyabetli Bireylerin Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları, Yaşam Kalitesi, Hastalık Bilgi Düzeyi ve İlgili Biyokimyasal Parametrelerin Değerlendirilmesi

Assessment of Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors, Quality of life, Knowledge of Disease Level and Related Biochemical Parameters of Type 2 Diabetic Individuals The aim of this study is to evaluate the healthy lifestyle behaviors, quality of life, disease knowledge level and related biochemical parameters of individuals with type 2 diabetes and has been conducted in Bor district of Niğde, Bor Center Fatih Family Health Center in the period of June-October 2016 with 101 indivuals in the age of 30-80 (56,3±9,93) years. A questionnaire consisting of demographic characteristics, Healthy Life Style Behavior Scale II (HLSB II), Quality of Life Short Form 36 (SF-36) and Illness Knowledge-Level Scale (IKLS) were applied by face to face interviews and questionnaires and some anthropometric measurements were made. Age, gender and educational status were found to affect quality of life, well-behaved behaviors, and illness knowledge level. The SF-36 subscales of HbA1C had a weak and similar relationship with physical function and general health perception score (p<0,05). SF-36 physical function and HLSB II health responsibility, physical activity, moral development, and interpersonal relationships were found to be weakly correlated (p<0,05). There is also a weak relationship between SF-36 general health perception and HLSB II moral development, stress management, nutrition and interpersonal relationships (p<0,05). There was a similar and weak relationship between IKLS and HLSB II health responsibilities, nutrition, moral development and stress management (p<0,05). A similar moderate correlation (p<0,05) was determined between IKLS and SF-36 energy and pain subscales. As a result, age, gender, educational level are related to healthy lifestyle behaviors, quality of life and disease knowledge level. HbA1c is associated with SF-36 subscales. In addition, healthy lifestyle behaviors, quality of life, and level of illness knowledge are important interrelated factors affecting the life of the type 2 diabetic individual.
