The analysis of the factors that affect the theaterdemand: Example Ankara

The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the audience and the factors affecting the demand for theater in Ankara. The questionnaire, which was formed in order to determine the socio-economic status of the society, will affect the art and the theater. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire was prepared to reveal the factors determining the demographic and socio-economic status of the audience, the frequency of arriving to the theater and the reasons for not being able to watch the play to the theater. The severity of the theater demand of the spectators was analyzed by the sequential logit regression. As a result, it is tried to investigate whether various variables affect the demand of the theater as income, age, sex, profession, education status, distance from the theater to the theater, kind of play, how much television a day is watched, and receiving a mass ticket to the theater. It has been observed that the cinema has a positive effect on participation in the theater, the physical distance to the theater adversely affects the participation of the mass sales tickets and the art education increases the participation in the theater.
