Abstract (EN)

Nowadays,increasing energy requirement and ecological pollution lead to invention of new improved materials for reducing of energy consumption and ecological pollution. Two main research area for this study which photopolymerization and organic electronic materials, matter both energy and environment. Especially materials which has absorption about IR region reduce the energy requirement during photopolymerization process. Organic elecronic materials have applications such as field effect transistors (FET), organic light emitting diodes (OLED), organic solar cells (OCS) and sensors. Due to these applications, organic electronic materials have an increasing attention for academic and industrial research. Oligothiophenes have great photophysical and electrochemical properties. Besides, oligothiophenes easily soluable, synthesis with high yield and for obtain the desire results stucture can be modified easily. In this study, first of all chromophoric parts of oligothiophenes were synthesized as thioxanthone bromo anthracene and this compound also used as an photoinitiator. Suzuki coupling reactions were performed in the presence of palladium catalyst with varying chain length of thiophene compounds to synthesized oligothiophenes. The photoinitiators and oligothiophenes characterized by UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, LC-MS . Photophysical properties of compounds, such as fluorescence emission spectra, fluorescence quantum yields and phosphorescence emmission spectra were determined. Beside of all photophysical studies, electrochemical properties such as HOMO, LUMO and electrochemical band energies were calculated from voltammogram using cyclic voltammetry.
