Abstract (EN)

Antibiotic resistance of bacteria causing urinary tract infection is increasing day by day. Particular attention should be paid to the use of antibiotics in the treatment of urinary tract infections. This study was conducted in Ramadi, Iraq. 95 urine samples were collected from patients with UTI. Bacteria were isolated and identified from these samples. E. coli has been identified as the most frequently identified Gram-negative bacteria. This in order; Klebsiella sp., Proteus sp. and Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus sp. has followed.. Then, DNA isolation was made from blood samples taken from patients with UTI. TETRA ARMS-PCR technique was used to determine the genotype of RS121917864, RS4986790 and RS352140 SNPs. When the statistical analysis results were evaluated, the frequency of GG genotyping in patient samples of RS4986790 was determined as 28% and 2% in control samples. The frequency of GG genotyping in patient samples of RS352140 was 28%, and the frequency of AA genotyping was 4%. Our results showed that the wild genotype was the most common genotype for urinary tract infection in all SNPs. In addition, the homozygous genotype was seen least frequently in Gram-negative bacteria, Rs121917864, Rs4986790 and Rs352140. In Gram-positive bacteria, the highest infection was detected in Rs121917864, Rs4986790 homozygous genotypes and Rs352140 wild genotypes. In addition, the lowest infection rates were found in Rs121917864 and mutated Rs121917864 and Rs4986790 genotypes.
