Seasonal distribution of carbohydrate and plant nutrients of kütdiken lemon and Washington navel orange varieties in loamy and clay soils and carbohydrate balance

In this study, carbohydrate level and seasonal distribution of plant nutrients and balance sheets of Kutdiken lemon and Washington Navel orange cultivator which were grafted on sour orange in clayed and loamy soil conditions in Badras Agricultural Corporation were investigated.As a result there were significant differences among organs in terms of plant nutrients. Kütdiken lemon cultivars in two types of soil conditions it is exposed high values of N in fruit stone, leaf and roots; P and K in pulp and leaves; Zn in capillary roots; Ca, Mn and Cu in leaf and capillary roots in both periods. Especially in May the N, P ,K and Na amounts in flowers were found high in both soil conditions.Also Washington Navel orange cultivator in same soil conditions in both periods it was exposed high values of N in leaf, capillary root and pulp; P in leaf and pulp, K in leaf, pericarp and capillary roots; Na in pulp, pericarp, leaf and capillary roots; Fe in capillary root, root and leaves, Zn in capillary roots, Ca, Mg, Mn, and Cu in capillary roots and leaves. In May, it was observed in two types of soil conditions higher of N, P, K, Mg and Na values in flowers and lower values in other organs than the other periods.It was obtained C /N ratio in Kütdiken lemon cultivars? graft, root collar and rootstock had higher values in two soil conditions and both periods. The lowest values were obtained from leaves, flowers and seeds.And in Washington Navel orange cultivar, higher C /N ratio was obtained in rootstock, graft, root-collar, branches and main roots in October; thick branches, graft and rootstock in February; thich branches, branches, graft, rootstock and root collar in May; generally in branches, graft and root collar in August. In loamy soil conditions highest values are obtained in branches, rootstock, and root collar in October; thich branches, graft and root collar in February; graft and root collar in May and in branches in August.In clayed soil conditions all carbohydrate quantities of Washington Navel orange cultivars? had higher values than loamy soil conditions when Carbohydrate balance sheets were examined.During May and August in clayed soil conditions, the total carbohydrate amount in all organs of Kutdiken Lemon tree was higher comparing in October and February. But in loamy soil conditions the carbohydrate amounts increased regularly in all four periods.
