Explosives are substances which reveal a large amount of heat and gas to environment as result of a sudden reaction.They are usually used with the aim of demolition and military.Black powder is known the oldest explosive and it is stil used in fireworks. Easy storage and transportation of munition systems such as rocket or missile etc. and effect of exposure in front line, in case of usage against fire, impact of bullet and effect of explosion around at least desire to harm to the environment and military personel caused to appear concept of insensitive munition [1].Insensitive munition concept is the munition that can able to cause full performance safely on demand, ready to use, satisfy operational purposes, reduced probability of ignition accidentally and reduced of probable damages of threats that will able to cause against weapon platforms, logistic systems and military personal in front line or in any case of accident. Modern armies need explosives that have both good thermal stability, impact and shock insensitive and as well as extremely high performance [1].High performance has been for many years the driving force behind research in the field of explosive compounds for use in military warheads. High explosives, dangerous situations that fall generally collected in three chapters: the first one flaming with impact, the second one is thermal heating and the third one is the shock.Desensitization of existing stock of explosive and to produce new generation insensitive munitions are performed selectively and importantly by lots of countries? armies, institutions and organizations, which have special partnership. Republic of Turkey has to speed up studies in this area for preserving national interest and it is really critical importance to ratched up studies in this area.Also Nanotechnology, which has great importance on technologic development of 2000s and will be one of the most important research areas in future has been started using on development of more effective and complex military products. Informations, which get in the light of existing nanotechnologic developments at present time reveal great properties (conduction properties; momentum, energy and mass) of nanostructured products and one of the most important area started using these great properties is developing new generation military product.In this study, We prepared mixtures of TNT with nano vanadium pentaoxide particles and other added substances and impact sensitivies of these mixtures were measured. As a result of performed measurements, impact sensitivies of our prepared mixtures are beter than pure TNT and TNT of BARUTSAN.
