Abstract (EN)
The young population has a significant share in the world population and an important place in a society due to its potential effects on social life. From this situation emerge a variety of studies on the subject of the young people and made them increasingly important. The studies carried out in this field focus especially on improving the living conditions of the young population in developed countries. However, the effects of the problems in developing countries on the personal development of young people have become nowadays one of the important social problems that are emerging. In the developing countries such as Togo which is studied within the scope of this thesis, there are various problems faced by the young people. They confront many challenges, such as lack of support and the struggle to find a permanent and well-paid job. Therefore, it can often take a long time for the young population to start an autonomous and independent life. For this reason, the studies to be conducted in order to reveal the problems encountered by the young population in order to propose solutions have become extremely important. In this context, our thesis is focused on the perceptions of the youth about their personal future and the future of the society they are live in. With a sample of 381 participants, a data collection gathered also information on various subjects related to the lives of young people in society. More precisely, we collected their point of views on education, life satisfaction, employment, the importance of religion and marriage. The results of the research showed that they are a little more optimistic about their personal future than the one of the country and the whole world.
