Tohma River (Malatya) analysis of benthic algae and seasonal changes

Abstract (EN)

Benthic algal flora of the part in the Tohma Stream Malatya province November 2010 - October 2011 between the designated 4 stations in and from different habitats (epipelic, epilithic and epiphytic) was examined in samples collected in monthly periods. It has been less important being the most important members of the comunity diyatomes (Bacillariophyta) benthic algae and which were in this community like Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta and Euglenophyta. İt was determined 154 taxa which are belonged to benthic diyatomes, from these Cymbella affinis Cocconeis placentula, Diatoma vulgare, Ulnaria ulna, Gomphonema olivaceum, Navicula cinta, Nitzschia palea, have been the most remarkable. Diyatomeler benthic algae communities tend to reproduce they in every season in the spring and autumn months of the best development are carried out.
