Late period Ottoman ulamas of tokat and Amasya subprovinces

İn this study, the transformation that took place in education in the last period of the Ottoman period was mentioned and the reflections of this transformation on Amasya and Tokat Subprovinces were discussed. Knowledges about where the Ulamas were born, by whon they were trained were given in the study. We tried to mention about how the scholars from Amasya and Tokat were trained and in which environment they were brought up. We expect that this study will provide great contribution to socio-cultural history of Tokat and Amasya and region research. Also how religious issues and educational issues in Ottoman period were managed was tried to mention in the study. Kew Words: Ulama, Sıbyan School, Medrese, Darulfunun, Muderris.
