Agricultural structure and mechanization status of Almus district agricultural facilities in Tokat province

In this study, it is aimed to determine the Agricultural Mechanization Level of existing farms in Almus district of Tokat province. Proportional Sampling Method was used to determine the number of sample farms. The 29 villages with the highest number of FRS (Farmer Registiration System) files were identified, within the 41 villages and 842 farmers. it was decided to conduct surveys with 119 farmers with 95% confidence and 5% deviation using proportional sampling method. Proportion of the tractor ownership of the farmers were taken into consideration. Datas used in the research were obtained through face to face surveys and observations from 119 enterprises. Surveys were conducted in 2016. Among the villages within the survey, only irrigated farming is carried out in Ormandibi village and Çevreli town. The total number of tractors were 116 and the total number of tools and equipments were 452. Average number of tractor per farm is 0.97; average tractor power of farm is 37.18 kW; average tractor power is 38.14 kW; The number of tools and machines per tractor is 4; tractor engine power per unit area is 10.11 kW / ha; The number of tractors per 1000 ha is 265 and the cultivated area per tractor was calculated as 3.77 ha.
