Quality evaluation mass housing for the occupancy process - 7th Stage Eryaman Mass Housing application-

The main purpose of mass housing , which aimed at low and medium income groups, is to produce houses in the minimum period and minimum cost. Even if present mass housing applications try to find solution with housing problem, they have raised ?quality? arguments. Damages or difficulties of usage have occured in a short time after. This condition has caused that users started to modifications in their houses. Also, these modifications raise occupancy cost. In this study, building quality of mass housing for the occupancy process was evaluated. The questionnaire was applied to find out the quality problems of mass housing from the residents in 7th stage Eryaman mass housing in Ankara. Then the results from the questionnaire were evaluated with building quality evaluations, which is obtained the end of building production process, and quality evaluations on the occupancy process. With this, the determination of the alterations, because of the poor quality in mass housing projects, and consequently the negative effects of the poor quality costs on residents in mass housing projects were evaluated. On the base of the data obtained, the qualities required in the construction of the houses were discussed. In addition, the relation between the quality costs and life cycle costing was studied. Finally, as a conclusion has been achieved about the solutions for the quality problems in the housing and some recommendations have been given for improving the housing and the living standards in these areas.
