Reproduction of heterosexualism in the context of gender

In this study which the sexuality and gender is defined, is included that the forms of perception of LGBT by media and society in the context of gender. Also prominent processes in sexuality and gender is expounded. Approaches regarding gender are included in the speculative framework; in addition searches and opinions regarding sex role stereotypes are included on media. Likewise prominent informations intended LGBT's are clarified as part of research question of this academic study. In this study which take advantage of qualitative analysis, semi-structured in-depth interviews were made with 10 individuals who were determinated with snowball sampling method. The data obtained from interviews were analysed by taking into consideration theoretical investigations. As a result, it has been detected that the media's sense of journalism on focused heterosexual assumption and with the discourse constituted to this understanding consolidates discrimination; in addition to it has been determined that discriminatory language and role models are associated to heterosexuality are reinforced by LGBT's.
