Abstract (EN)

Just as there are colors and diversity in nature, there is also diversity in societies, which have many differences due to human nature. These diversities can manifest themselves in terms of sexual orientation, disabilities or simply gender. The roles that society expects from a gender are the basis of gender inequality and legal mechanisms are used to combat this. By applying the data analysis method, the economic, social and political status of women in these three countries were analyzed through data on women and gender equality from the European Union, United Nations, Human Rights Watch, World Bank, Canada, Turkey and Iran Statistical Institutions. Afterwards, meaningful data were obtained by analyzing the legal regulations, important case law, government policies that shape laws and societies in the long term, and important civil society activities on gender equality on a country-by-country basis. In the light of these data, it is seen that Canada can be considered among the developed countries in terms of legal system and policy in terms of gender equality among the three countries, while Turkey can be considered among the developing countries, taking into account the need to improve the attitudes of some practitioners towards gender roles during the establishment of laws and social policies and their implementation in recent years. Iran, on the other hand, should be considered as a non-developing country in terms of gender equality due to the implementation of government policies by force by law enforcement agencies against women, which recognize the masculine system as superior over women's bodies and restrict women's education in certain areas or deny women the right to have a say over their own bodies.
