Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to examine the action and discourse practices of the LGBTI+ Movement in Türkiye within the context of the anti-gender movement, from the perspective of framing processes, new social movements, and counter-movement approaches. Within the scope of the study, the action and discourse practices of Kaos GL and SPoD, two significant associations representing the LGBTI+ movement in Türkiye, were examined using the content analysis method and subjected to thematic analysis according to framing processes. Similarly, the action and discourse practices of KADEM and the Great Family Platform (Büyük Aile Platformu), two prominent representatives of the anti-gender movement in Türkiye, were also analyzed. The ultimate goal was to understand how these movements position themselves in relation to each other. The study presents significant findings for understanding the arguments produced by the anti-gender movement against the LGBTI+ movement and how the LGBTI+ movement responds to these arguments. It also reveals whether these actions and discourse practices have differed over the years and provides an evaluation of the movements' successes or failures. Keywords: Anti-gender movement, LGBTI+ movement, framing processes, action and discourse practices
