The analysis of the effect of the phenomenon of social gender on nurses at different educational levels

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of the phenomenon of social gender on nurses at different educational levels. The questionnaire prepared for this purpose is applied on for a total of 578 nurses working in 10 public hospital in the European and Asian sides of İstanbul.The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed on SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) computer program for Windows 17.0. In quantitative evaluation of the data, as well as descriptive statistical methods, in case of the two groups, ( frequency, per cent, average, standard deviation) for the comparisons between the groups independent samples t-test, if more than two groups comparisons of parameters between the groups one-way Annona test and for the determination of the group that is causing the difference Tukey test were used. Cronbach?s Alpha co-efficient was calculated (scaled) for the reliability of sub-dimensions.Pearson Correlation Analysis was used to determine the relationships between scales. The Linear Regression Analysis were applied to nurses to examine the effect of the phenomenon of social gender on nurses at different educational levels.As a result of research; in the context of the social gender approaches, patriarchal tradition of the nursing profession, socio-economic status and marital status, showed similar effects on different educational levels of nurses, on the other hand it is concluded that the effect of social status of nursing, gender, level of education and organization showed in difference according to the educational level of nurses. The effects of social status of nursing and gender, on the approaches the nursing, on the nurses graduated from health vocational high school is higher than on the nurses graduated from health college and mastered , on the other hand the effect of educational level and organization on the nurses graduated from health vocational high school is higher than on the nurses graduated from health services college, health college, associate, undergraduate and mastered.Key words: gender, social gender, nursing
