Abstract (EN)

Throughout the history, women have assumed some major gender roles which are determined by the society. Even after the transition to modern society, women and men gender roles still contain these patriarchal structures. In different cultures, it is observed that these gender roles harbor the phenomenon of violence. Today, violence against women has turned into an international problem. For this reason, social cooperation is highly required to solve violence problem all around the world. Studies show that education has one of the significant and active role in preventing gender based discirimination and violence. The concept of gender includes all women, men and LGBT individuals in society. In this research, the relationship between gender roles and violence against women is evaluated through the effectiveness of communication in education. At this point, the study is based on the United Nations (UN) regional women education and studies on the basis of gender roles. In this context, regional women's studies in the UN are handled using descriptive analysis method on the basis of gender roles. Communication is the most basic feature and need of human being in all parts of life. Therefore, it is possible to realize the effects of communication everywhere in life. At this point, education is one of the most significant area for communication to be stronger and manifesting itself better. The communicative process manifests itself from the beginning of education to its continuation and even to the point of completion. Therefore, it is not possible to consider education and communication separately. Since education itself is an important step of communication, it is important for individuals of all ages and genders to pass this step. It is a positive result that the individual, who learns to blend the educational process with her/his communicative skills, lives within the framework of the perception of equality, first for herself/himself and then with the other members of the society. In the light of this information, this research analyzed the effects of UN education activities on achieving the gender equality by framing the relationship between education and communication with feminist theory.
