Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the failured of rotary tiller transmission elements, which are one of the soil tillage machines, were analyzed and caused of failure were investigated. Failured transmission elements are shaft of the gear box, Z17 super gear of the side gear set and spline shaft which connected to the rotor shaft. In the first part of the study, general information is given about failure, failure analysis ve failure types. Afterwards, the information is given about the transmission elements that are failured and examined. For examination of material properties, chemical analyses, hardness test and tensile tests of failured elements were performed, failured surfaces and microstructure were examined. In addition, finite elements analysis was performed with Solidworks SIMULATION software and the stresses and deformations on the elements were determined on real working conditions. As a result of all investigations, the causes of the failure of transmission elements and to prevent the repetition of the failure solution offers are presented.
