Abstract (EN)
Renewable energies can be listed as wind energy, solar energy, biomass, geothermal energy and hydroelectric power plants. Renewable energy sources are a clean alternative energy source against oil, coal and gas. However, it is inexhaustible in nature. The basic principle of renewable energies is the production of electricity, fuel and heat through the use of processes in nature. These energy sources play an important role in preventing global warming. It will also prevent battles for energy resources. Based on these principles, heating and cooling experiments were conducted in the energy laboratory at the Esentepe Campus of Sakarya University. In this study, heating experiments were performed. The ground source heat exchanger pipes are installed in an artificial pool with an area of 80 m2 and a depth of 2.5 meters. Air was used as process fluid in these experiments. In this study, it is aimed to reduce the energy costs required for heating in winter. After determining the air flow rate during the daytime experiments in January, air inlet and outlet temperatures and soil temperature were measured. In this study, thermal characteristics of soil were investigated experimentally. It has been found that the thermal efficiency of the soil depends largely on the moisture content of the soil. It was found that this system works more efficiently in climates where temperature difference is higher. It was seen that the heating costs could be reduced when this model was installed during the planning and construction phase of the buildings.
